Namekagon is a small town in Wisconsin that is home to some very good fishing. Namekagon Lake is the big lake right in town and Lake Owen is another really good lake that is close by. You have other options too with some smaller lakes and the Namekagon River too.
Atkins Lake

Diamond Lake
Diamond Lake is a 322 acre lake located in Bayfield County. It has a maximum depth of 83 feet. Visitors have access to the lake from a public boat landing. Fish include panfish, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, northern pike, trout and walleye. According to the DNR, panfish and trout are common in the lake.
Garden Lake
Garden Lake is a 558 acre lake located in Bayfield County. It has a maximum depth of 23 feet. Visitors have access to the lake from a public boat landing.
Jackson Lake
Jackson Lake is a 149 acre lake located in Bayfield County. It has a maximum depth of 13 feet. Fish include muskie, panfish, largemouth bass, northern pike and walleye. According to the DNR, northern pike and walleye are common in the lake.
Namekagon Lake
Namekagon Lake is a good-sized lake that covers almost 2,900 acres. Anglers target a variety of fish here, but the toothy critters usually get the most attention. It has solid northern pike fishing with walleye and muskie too. Largemouth bass, smallmouth bass and panfish round out the fishery. This lake is one of the more popular lakes for anglers in this area.
Namekagon River
The Namekagon River is a northern tributary to the St. Croix River. It covers almost 100 miles and is protected under the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway. It offers good fishing for many different species of fish. Anglers can fish for smallmouth bass, walleye, muskie, northern pike, panfish and even trout. There are brown trout and brook trout on the section of river upstream of Hayward, Wisconsin.
