North Twin Lake


Twin Lakes (North) is a 2871 acre lake located in Vilas County.  Visitors have access to these lakes from 2 public boat landings.  North Twin Lake has been known as one of the better muskie lakes to fish in Vilas County for many years.  Big fish can be found in this lake if you put in the time.

Other fish include panfish, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass and walleye.  The Wisconsin DNR lists muskie, panfish and walleye as common in this lake.  Largemouth bass and smallmouth bass are listed as present.

South Twin Lake


Twin Lakes (South) is a 628 acre lake located in Vilas County.  It has a maximum depth of 43 feet with very clear water.  Visitors have access to the lake from public boat landings.  Fish include muskie, panfish, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass and walleye.  According to the DNR, muskie, walleye and panfish are considered common in the lake while the other species of fish are listed as present.
