The Chisago Lakes area is home to some excellent bass fishing to go along with quality northern pike and panfish too. Some anglers do catch some walleye, but this area is known for its excellent largemouth bass fishing.

Shallow Water Cover is Endless Here
The area lakes have so much shallow water cover to fish here. If you like fishing lily pads, reeds or submerged vegetation, you have so much water to fish here on several lakes. Most of the better areas with cover are in the 3 to 8 foot depth ranges.
Chisago Lakes Area Bass Fishing
The bass fishing is very good in this area for largemouth bass. The area lakes all have good numbers of bass and quality fish in the 3 to 4 pound range are here too. If you enjoy fishing shallow water cover, this is an awesome fishing destination for you.

Chisago Lakes Area Northern Pike Fishing
This area is definitely a better bass area, but there is some very good fishing for northern pike as well. You won’t always find huge numbers of them, but there are definitely plenty of them if you want to target them and catch some fish. There are some quality pike in these waters also due to the special fishing regulations here.

Chisago Lakes Area Panfish Fishing
Bluegill and pumpkinseed are common on the area waters. There are lots of smaller fish with some quality keeper fish in the mix too. You can find lots of bluegill around the edges of the lily pads and the reeds throughout the area lakes.
