Whitefish

You can find whitefish on many of the interior lakes and streams on the Kenai Peninsula. Whitefish are known for liking very cool water and super deep water, but they spawn in much shallower water just like most other species of fish. Anglers target them on lake through the ice as they spawn or in rivers and streams as they move in to spawn.
