Smallmouth bass are more abundant here, but there are a lot of largemouth bass in the lake too. Anglers usually go for smallmouth bass and you will catch some largemouth bass while targeting smallmouths, but for the most part, the smallies are going to be deeper, so if you want to target largemouth bass exclusively, fish the 6 to 12 foot depth ranges. Find shallow water cover such as wood, rocks and docks and you’ll find some largemouth bass. With the clear water, you may have to downsize your line and finesse it up a little bit to get more bites.
