Lake Worth Lagoon
The Lake Worth Lagoon is a good-sized lagoon that runs parallel to the coast and it is separated from the Atlantic Ocean by barrier beaches. The lagoon is connected to the Atlantic Ocean from 2 inlets.
In the West Palm Beach area, there are plenty of good areas to fish. Anglers fish around the Palm Beach Inlet, also known as the Lake Worth Inlet, since the fishing can be very good around the inlet during the tidal changes. There are some good bridges to fish in the lagoon to go along with plenty of mangroves, docks, shallow water flats and channels. The snook fishing can be very good in the lagoon, but anglers also have a variety of other fish such as mangrove snapper, sheepshead, redfish, trout, flounder, jacks, mackerel and more.
