Flounder are bottom-dwelling ambush predators that can be caught inshore and nearshore around West Palm Beach. They prefer sandy or muddy bottoms near current and structure and are often caught on live bait or jigs bounced along the bottom. These tasty fish are a welcome addition to the cooler in fall and winter.
