Welcome to our Vegas Fishing Home Page
Las Vegas is known more for its entertainment than its fishing, however, there are a couple of good lakes here that offer anglers a variety of fish species to target. Lake Mead is closer, so that’s where most anglers go when they want to fish while here on a Vegas vacation. Lake Mohave is further away, but still close enough to head over for a day trip and there are places to stay if you want to stay overnight. Striped bass are the main species to target here, but a variety of other fish are available too.
Primary Species of Fish
Striped Bass, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Channel Catfish, Rainbow Trout & Panfish
Lake Mead and Lake Mohave are known for their good numbers of striped bass with some bigger fish mixed in. Anglers also target largemouth bass and smallmouth bass with the best fishing occurring in the spring for them. Catfish are here in good numbers too. The rainbow trout fishing is good after they stock them. Panfish such as crappie, bluegill and other sunfish round out the fishery.
