St. Pete Pier
The St. Petersburg Pier, officially known as the St. Pete Pier, is a landmark pleasure pier that extends into Tampa Bay from downtown St. Petersburg, Florida. This is a very popular area to hang out, enjoy the scenery enjoy some of the events held here and anglers fish off the pier too.
Safety Harbor Pier
This pier is not open anymore due to the recent hurricanes that have come through the area. Hopefully the city will put some money into fixing it. Until then, it is closed.
Skyway Bridge Pier
The Skyway Bridge Pier is one of the best shore fishing spots in all of Florida. The only other areas that can really compare to this bridge are the bridges in the Florida Keys. There are plenty of shore fishing spots throughout Florida that give anglers the opportunity to catch some nice fish. The Skyway Bridge stands out because it is so far out in the bay and it can accommodate a large amount of anglers fishing at all times of the day.
Anglers do well from the pier for a variety of fish. Many anglers come here to target snapper and grouper, but you will also see redfish, trout, sheepshead, sharks, mackerel, bluefish and more.

Ballast Point Park
Ballast Point Park is a popular place for anglers. There is a 600 foot pier here with a splash pad, boat ramp, picnic areas and more. Anglers catch a variety of saltwater fish off the pier.

Picnic Island Beach
Located in South Tampa, this is a nice park with a sandy beach, playground, volleyball court, disc golf course, a dog beach, boat ramp and pier.
