Mahi mahi, also known as dolphin or dorado, are beautiful, hard-fighting pelagic fish occasionally found offshore from Steinhatchee in deeper Gulf waters. They’re known for their brilliant colors, acrobatic fights, and tasty fillets. While not as abundant here as in South Florida, they can be caught farther offshore during the summer months.
