Tripletail Fishing in the Space Coast Area
Tripletail are not as common on the Atlantic side of Florida, however, some anglers do target them. Spring and fall are the usually the best times as they migrate north in the spring and back south in the fall. Anglers use the Port Canaveral port to access the reefs and wrecks in the nearshore and offshore waters.
Tripletail Fishing Tips
Tripletail feed on smaller fish, shrimp and crabs. Anglers usually sight fish for them with slow-sinking jigs or some type of float (bobber) to help keep the bait suspended in the water column.
