It’s All About the Destination
Some of the best destinations will offer very good fishing for snook. Pick the right destination and you might be able to catch snook in the double digits every day. Go to a destination that isn’t as good, you may not average one snook per day. It’s a tough fish to catch and some of the destinations just don’t have enough snook there. Head farther south and do it right if you want to catch a lot of snook.
Fish the Tidal Changes
The bite is better during the tidal changes. Combine a tidal change with low light conditions and you’ll catch more fish.
Fish the Mangroves
Snook love the mangroves. Fish the high tides and find the deeper mangroves to catch more snook. The deeper areas will hold more fish overall with some big fish too.
Fish the Docks
Snook love the docks, so find the docks with some deeper water and you’ll get your baits in front of more snook.
Fish the Low Light Conditions
Fish early in the morning, late in the evening and at night if you want to catch more snook.
Use Live Bait
This is a no brainer. Snook can be tough to catch, but with live bait, it’s a lot easier to catch them. Live shrimp and several types of bait fish will work for snook.
