Tuna are a prized offshore catch for Sarasota anglers, with blackfin tuna being the most common species in the Gulf. These fast, hard-fighting fish offer incredible sport and are excellent on the table. Tuna are usually caught well offshore while trolling or targeting bait schools near structure.
