These hard-fighting fish are often spotted near buoys, bait pods, and manta rays during spring and summer migrations. They are targeted both nearshore and offshore and are known for their strength, stamina, and delicious fillets.

Cobia are often caught:

Near buoys, markers, and channel edges

Free-swimming near the surface or following rays and turtles

Over nearshore reefs and wrecks

Around bait schools just offshore
