Pickwick Lake offers very good fishing for catfish. Channel catfish can be caught throughout the lake and in good numbers if you know how to fish for them. Blue catfish get a lot more attention here than the channel catfish. There are some very big blue catfish in these lakes and many anglers will target them by drifting live shad or big minnows below the dams. This is also a great way to fish for big smallmouth bass here.
