Yellow perch love spinners and these in-line spinners work great for them. When the bite is aggressive, they will hit these spinners. When the bite is finicky, you may have to tip the treble hooks with a little live bait to entice more strikes.
Spinners are great perch baits and these beetle spinners can be very good as well. Most of them come with some type of plastic bait on the back, but you can take that off and add your favorite live bait to this rig. When the bite is going good, you may not need any live bait, but when the bite is finicky, it can pay off big time to replace the plastic with some live baits.
Underspins can be great for yellow perch. These fish love spinners and there are smaller underspins made specifically for panfish. Fish these with hair, soft plastics or add your favorite live bait to entice more strikes. They all will work. When the bite is finicky, you may need live bait as a trailer.
