Fourth Crow Wing Lake is a very shallow lake that covers 479 acres and has a maximum depth of only 10 feet. Due to its shallow depth, Fourth Crow Wing Lake has abundant growth of both submerged and emergent aquatic vegetation such as wild rice, hardstem bulrush, and water lilies. There is a public access located on the east shore. The Crow Wing River connects Fourth Crow Wing Lake to Third Crow Wing Lake and boating between these two lakes is possible with small to medium craft. There is a dam below Fifth Crow Wing Lake that prohibits boat travel between these two lakes. There is a portage around the dam for canoes and kayaks.
Anglers typically target northern pike and panfish in this lake. Largemouth bass are also available and you may catch an occasional walleye, but if you are looking to target game fish in this lake, try fishing for northern pike.
