Spotted sea trout are occasionally caught in the estuaries and shallow flats of the northern Palm Beaches. Though more prevalent farther north, some local hotspots produce good catches in the right conditions. These fish are aggressive and often strike topwater lures and soft plastics in shallow water.


Where to Catch Sea Trout


Sea trout may be found:

In grass flats with clean, moving water

Along edges of drop-offs and channels

Near docks, mangroves, and oyster bars

Best around first light or sunset
