Flounder are ambush predators that lie flat on sandy or muddy bottoms, waiting to pounce on unsuspecting prey. In the Palm Beaches, they are often caught inshore around sandy flats, inlets, and near bridges. These fish are excellent eating and fun to catch on light tackle.
