Rush Lake is located in central Otter Tail County 2 miles north of Ottertail, MN. Rush Lake is a 5,337 acre mesotrophic (moderately fertile) lake that is part of the Otter Tail River Watershed. The maximum depth is 68 feet with 62% of the lake being less than 15 feet deep. Rush Lake is a popular lake in the Otter Tail County area with good fishing for a variety of fish. Northern pike, walleye, largemouth bass, crappie, and bluegill are the dominant species in this lake. Rock bass and perch are also available in Rush Lake.
