Coos Bay is a coastal city that is located where the Coos River enters Coos Bay, which leads to the Pacific ocean. The city borders the city of North Bend and together, they are often referred to Coos Bay-North Bend of Oregon’s Bay Area. The downtown area is known as the Marshfield District and it is home to many historic buildings, shops, restaurants, parks and more. Anglers have access to the bay, river and they can make a further run out to the waters of the Pacific Ocean. People fish the area waters for salmon, steelhead, sturgeon and more.
