Bluefish

Bluefish Fishing North of Tampa Bay Coastal

Bluefish occasionally pass through coastal waters near Dunedin, Palm Harbor, and Tarpon Springs, especially during baitfish migrations. These aggressive fish strike lures violently and provide fast-paced action when schools are around. They are usually caught from shore, piers, or nearshore boats chasing surface activity.

Where to Catch Bluefish

In this region, bluefish are typically found around:

Surf zones and beach troughs

Rock jetties and passes with current

Chasing bait schools just offshore

Bridges and piers in the early morning
