Redfish Fishing in Miami, Florida


Redfish are not as common in Miami as in other parts of Florida, but they can still be caught in select inshore areas and nearby estuaries. Juvenile redfish may be found in mangrove-lined bays, while larger reds are occasionally caught near inlets and passes.


Where to Catch Redfish


Redfish are sometimes found:

Inshore around mangrove shorelines

Near oyster bars and grass flats

At creek mouths and brackish estuaries

Near inlets during tidal movement
