Triggerfish Fishing in Miami, Florida
Triggerfish are found offshore of Miami on deeper reefs and wrecks. While often targeted incidentally when fishing for snapper or grouper, they are excellent eating and can provide fun light-tackle action. Gray triggerfish are the most common species encountered.

Triggerfish are usually found:
Over hard bottom and natural reef structures
On wrecks in 100–250 feet of water
Near the edge of the continental shelf
Mixed with snapper and porgies
