The barracuda is a very strong, exciting fish. Many anglers are often annoyed by the barracuda because it will tear up carefully prepared baits that were made for other types of fish. Barracuda Fishing in the Mexico Beach, Florida Area
The Mexico Beach area has so many good fishing spots nearshore and offshore due to the Mexico Beach Artificial Reef Association (MBARA). They do an amazing job at bringing more fish into this area, so anglers do not have to venture way off shore to find quality fish to catch. Barracuda are not as common as many of the other fish that are caught here, but you can find some barracuda around many of the bottom structures here.

Barracuda can be caught on a variety of live and cut baits. Lively baits tend to work best because barracuda love the chase. If you choose to use lures for barracuda, some of the best lures are tube lures, crankbaits, jerkbaits and spoons.
