Marco Island does not have a ton of shore fishing opportunities when you compare this area to some of the other awesome fishing destinations in Florida. However, there are some places to wet a line and catch some fish without getting into a boat.
Fish the Beaches
These beaches do attract plenty of people, but if you’re getting out there in the morning and evenings, you should be able to find plenty of room to cast out some fishing lines and enjoy some fishing from the beach. Anglers catch a variety of fish from the surf.
Fish the S.S. Jolly Bridge
You can fish underneath this bridge, however, there is not room for a lot of anglers, so you need a backup plan if you’re looking to do some shore fishing and you pull up to this bridge with no spots available. Anglers do catch some nice fish from this bridge, but there is usually more potential if you get out and fish along the beaches.
