Spotted sea trout are one of the most popular inshore game fish in the Fort Pierce area. These aggressive feeders are found throughout the Indian River Lagoon, where they ambush prey along grass flats, channel edges, and drop-offs. They’re known for explosive strikes and are excellent on light tackle.

On grassy flats in the Indian River Lagoon

Along sandy potholes and channels

Near mangrove edges and oyster bars

Around docks and deeper cuts during heat or cold
