Snapper are a year-round target in Fort Pierce, with mangrove, mutton, and lane snapper being the most common species. These fish are found inshore and offshore around structure and are excellent table fare. Anglers catch them using live bait, cut bait, and jigs while fishing bottom structure or tidal ambush zones.
