Forest County is home to some incredible smallmouth bass fishing. Located close to the town of Eagle River, anglers have been reporting excellent smallmouth bass fishing for many years on Butternut Lake, Franklin Lake and Kentuck Lake. If you head farther south to the town of Crandon, you will find plenty of action on Metonga Lake and Lake Lucerne.
