The spring opener offers anglers some excellent fishing for walleye, smallmouth bass, northern pike and lake trout. The summer brings warmer weather, but not extremely hot air temperatures, which makes a trip here very comfortable in the summer. The fall brings many of the fish back into the shallower waters near the shorelines. There will still be plenty of fish in deeper water too, so plan on fishing shallow or deep and everything in between until you can find the active fish.
