Dale Hollow Lake has plenty of crappie in it, however, they can be a challenge to catch in these clear waters. Except for the early spring when they move into the shallows to spawn, you are going to have to fish much deeper waters here to consistently catch them. Targeting the deep water brush piles and finding schooling fish that are roaming the open waters will be the main ways to catch them from late spring through the winter on this lake. If you target them and find plenty of good spots for them, just go spot to spot until you find some crappie that are biting on that particular day. Anglers do report some very nice fish every year here so there are some big fish available in the lake.
