Black sea bass are bottom-dwelling fish often caught offshore in the Clearwater area. They are excellent eating and are usually found while targeting other reef species. These aggressive biters will hit small jigs or bait and are often mixed in with snapper and grouper.

Natural hard bottom in 30–100+ ft of water

Artificial reef systems and wrecks
