The Charlotte Harbor area is a huge area with many places to fish from shore. There are plenty of parks and piers that do give you some options closer to the towns of Charlotte Harbor and Punta Gorda.
However, you may have to do some driving to get to some good shore spots depending on where you are staying in this area. If you want to get to the better surf fishing spots, you’re going to want to head out to the barrier islands.
