Carp can be extremely finicky at times and as quickly as they eat your bait, they can blow it out just as fast. You can easily catch carp on a variety of rigs and many anglers catch them with rigs that we would consider pretty terrible. However, to consistently catch carp and not miss bites, your rigs are super important. Only use as much weight as needed for the situation because carp when carp realize something is not right, they blow out the bait.
