Snapper are a prized catch for offshore and nearshore anglers in the Apalachicola area. Red snapper are the most well-known, especially during their limited open season, but anglers also catch mangrove snapper, lane snapper, and vermilion snapper. These fish are delicious and put up a solid fight when pulled from the depths.

Artificial reefs and natural rock ledges

Mangrove shorelines (for mangrove snapper)

Winter Slower, but deep water snapper are still an option
