Chippewa Lake is a relatively large, mesotrophic (moderately fertile) lake located northeast of Brandon in Douglas County. This lake is moderately clear with clarity exceeding 10 feet during the summer months. This lake is managed for walleye. The fishing is good for walleye with good numbers of fish and some big walleye are also available. Northern pike, largemouth bass, crappie, bluegill and perch round out the fishery here. Northern pike and largemouth bass are available in catchable numbers and some big fish of both species are present in the lake.
