Welcome to our Willmar Lakes Area Fishing Home Page
The Willmar Lakes Area is a smaller lake community that lies a couple of hours west of Minneapolis, Minnesota. There are plenty of lakes in the area with a few good-sized lakes and then a bunch of smaller lakes.
Primary Species of Fish
Walleye, Smallmouth Bass, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, Bluegill, Crappie, Perch
Depending on what lakes you choose to fish will dictate what types of fish you will be targeting. On some of the bigger lakes in the area, you may catch some nice smallmouth bass, northern pike, walleye, largemouth bass and a variety of panfish. Walleye are available in many of the area waters excluding most of the smaller lakes. On some of the smaller lakes, the fishing can be very good for largemouth bass. If you’re looking for action, there are plenty of smaller northern pike and lots of panfish in these lakes as well.
