Other Area Waters

Press Lake

Press Lake is a large lake with more than 70 miles of shoreline, tons of bays, points, islands and more.  With only one camp on this lake, you will have access to a lot of water all to yourself.  Anglers enjoy excellent fishing for walleye, northern pike and smallmouth bass.

Savant Lake

Savant Lake is a huge lake with some awesome fishing available.  It does not have public access so you need to fly in or one of the resorts has a drive-in service with a special off-road vehicle and trailer to get your group and your gear to the camp.

If you get to spend some time on this lake, you should enjoy it.  There are huge numbers of fish in it, so once you figure out the better spots, you can catch a lot of fish.  Anglers report 100 fish days per boat here quite frequently.  On bad weather days, this lake can really get rough, however, there are plenty of places to get out of the rough water and still fish.  With more than 400 miles of shoreline, depths down to 200 feet, tons of islands, so many bays and feeder streams flowing in and out, you have an outstanding fishery for northern pike, walleye and lake trout.

Watcomb Lake

Watcomb Lake is a good-sized lake that offers good fishing for a variety of fish.  Most anglers come here for the walleye fishing, but you can also catch perch, lots of smallmouth bass and some big northern pike.

Sturgeon Lake Lodge is currently in charge of the campground and boat launch on this lake.  Take a look at the Watcomb Campground and Launch page to learn more about getting access to this lake.
