What Type of Fishing Line
Mono is fine, but many anglers use braid. You will want to use a flourocarbon leader too.
What Pound Test
20 to 30 pound test line is fine for most situations, but you can go heavier, especially if fishing around the bridges or areas with heavy cover. A 30 to 40 pound fluorocarbon leader will be needed as well.
