Primary Species of Fish

The area lakes, rivers and flowages are home to some very good fishing for a variety of fish species.  This area has good smallmouth bass fishing on the rivers and flowages in the county.  Many of the smaller lakes in the area are good for largemouth bass.  Walleye are the preferred target for most anglers and there are plenty of places to catch a few walleye for the table.  Muskie are common in this area and there are some big muskie here too.  You will also find northern pike in the area waters with some quality fish mixed in.

Secondary Species of Fish

There are plenty of panfish in this area, but plan on sorting through plenty of smaller fish as you search for the bigger panfish to take home for the fish fry.  Crappie and bluegill are the dominant panfish in many of the waters throughout the county, but you will find some perch here too.
