Nearshore Fishing

Learn more about the nearshore fishing in the Cape San Blas / Port St. Joe area.

Running the Beaches

The beaches off the Cape San Blas area provide some good fishing as well, especially during the summer months.  Many boaters will fish the Cape San Blas beaches when the tarpon are running in the middle of the summer.  Cobia, sharks, Spanish mackerel, king mackerel, tripletail and other species are caught along these beaches as well.

Nearshore Reefs & Wrecks

The Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission has a great website that allows you to see reefs and wrecks on a map.  Their Interactive Map Viewer is awesome, so feel free to check that out if you’re looking to structure fish the nearshore or offshore waters off of Cape San Blas.
