Panfish

The Otter Tail Country is full of lakes with panfish in them.  Whether you target the bigger lakes such as Otter Tail Lake, North Lida Lake, West Battle Lake, Lake Lizzie, Clitherall Lake, Rush Lake, Marion Lake, Star Lake, Big McDonald Lake and Big Pine Lake or many of the smaller lakes in the area, you should be able to catch plenty of panfish.  The late spring and early summer gives anglers a better chance to catch some of the bigger fish in the shallows, but if you know how to fish deep water in the summer and fall, you can definitely catch some nice panfish throughout the summer and fall months too.  Crappie, perch and bluegill are available in many of the lakes in this region.
