Logan Martin Lake is a large reservoir on the Coosa River system. It is about 30 miles east of Birmingham, Alabama and it covers around 17,000 total surface acres. This reservoir was built by the Alabama Power Company. It is sandwiched in between 2 dams; Neely Henry Dam on the north and Logan Martin Dam on the south. It is known as a good fishing lake for a variety of species. Most anglers come here to target largemouth bass, but you may also catch spotted bass, striped bass, white bass, crappie, catfish, bluegill and other sunfish.
