Smallmouth Bass


Lincoln County is home to some good smallmouth bass fishing.  Many of the area waters will have a lot more largemouth bass in them, but there are plenty of places to go where you can catch some smallmouth bass.  Fish the Wisconsin River and the lakes attached to that river system if you want to target smallies.  There are some quality smallmouth bass in the river system too.


Alexander Lake


Alexander Lake is a 618 acre lake located in Lincoln County.  It has a maximum depth of 36 feet. Visitors have access to the lake from several public boat landings.  The lake also has a public beach.  Fish include largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, muskie, northern pike, walleye and panfish.  According to the DNR, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass and walleye are common in the lake while muskie, northern pike and panfish are listed as present.



Bridge Lake


Bridge Lake is a 419 acre lake located in Oneida, Lincoln Counties.  It has a maximum depth of 15 feet.  Fish include largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, muskie, northern pike, walleye and panfish.  According to the DNR, northern pike, walleye and panfish are common in the lake while muskie, largemouth bass and smallmouth bass are listed as present.



Deer Lake


Deer Lake is a 150 acre lake located in Lincoln County.  It has a maximum depth of 62 feet.  Fish include largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, muskie, northern pike, walleye and panfish.  According to the DNR, walleye, northern pike and panfish are common in the lake while largemouth bass, smallmouth bass and muskie are listed as present.



Grandfather Flowage


Grandfather Flowage is a 184 acre lake located in Lincoln County.  It has a maximum depth of 32 feet.  Fish include largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, muskie, northern pike, walleye and panfish.  According to the DNR, all of the species of fish are present in the lake.



Grandmother Flowage


Grandmother Flowage is a 208 acre lake located in Lincoln County.  It has a maximum depth of 22 feet.  Fish include largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, muskie, northern pike, walleye and panfish.  According to the DNR, all of the species are listed as present.



Jersey City Flowage


Jersey City Flowage is a 423 acre lake located in Lincoln County.  It has a maximum depth of 20 feet.  Fish include largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, muskie, northern pike, walleye and panfish.  According to the DNR, walleye and northern pike are common in the lake while muskie, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass and panfish are listed as present.



Lake Alice


Lake Alice is a 1,438 acre lake located in Lincoln County. It has a maximum depth of 32 feet.  Visitors have access to the lake from many public boat landings.  Fish include largemouth bass, northern pike, walleye and panfish.  According to the DNR, walleye, northern pike and panfish are common in the lake while largemouth bass, smallmouth bass and muskie are listed as present.



Lake Mohawksin


Lake Mohawksin is a 1515 acre lake located in Lincoln County.  It has a maximum depth of 25 feet.  Visitors have access to the lake from several public boat landings, a public beach.  Fish include largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, muskie, northern pike, walleye and panfish.  According to the DNR, northern pike and walleye are common in the lake while muskie, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass and panfish are listed as present.



Lake Nokomis


Lake Nokomis is a 2,274 acre lake located in Oneida, Lincoln Counties.  It has a maximum depth of 33 feet.  Visitors have access to the lake from several public boat landings.  Fish include largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, muskie, northern pike, walleye and panfish.  According to the DNR, largemouth bass, walleye, northern pike and panfish are common in the lake while muskie and smallmouth bass are listed as present.



Merrill Flowage


Merrill Flowage is a 284 acre lake located in Lincoln County.  It has a maximum depth of 11 feet.  Fish include largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, muskie, northern pike, walleye and panfish.  According to the DNR, smallmouth bass and northern pike are common in the lake while largemouth bass, walleye, muskie and panfish are listed as present.



Rice River Flowage*(Nokomis)


Rice River Flowage*(Nokomis) is a 764 acre lake located in Oneida, Lincoln Counties. It has a maximum depth of 26 feet.   Fish include largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, muskie, northern pike, walleye and panfish.  According to the DNR, largemouth bass, northern pike, walleye and panfish are common in the lake while muskie and smallmouth bass are listed as present.



Somo Lake


Somo Lake is a 404 acre lake located in Lincoln County.  It has a maximum depth of 25 feet.  Fish include largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, muskie, northern pike, walleye and panfish.  According to the DNR, northern pike and panfish are common in the lake while largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, muskie and walleye are listed as present.



Spirit River Flowage


Spirit River Flowage is a 1,220 acre lake located in Lincoln County. It has a maximum depth of 25 feet.  Visitors have access to the lake from several public boat landings.  Fish include largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, muskie, northern pike, walleye and panfish.  According to the DNR, walleye, largemouth bass, northern pike and panfish are common in the lake while muskie and smallmouth bass are listed as present.
