Primary Species of Fish
Largemouth bass have taken off all over the state of Wisconsin over the past 10 years or so and Lincoln County is no different. If you fish a bunch of different lakes here, plan on running into lots of largemouth bass, northern pike and panfish. For muskie anglers, there are some very good places to fish here and some very big muskie are caught every year in the waters of Lincoln County. The lakes connected to the Wisconsin River system will hold plenty of smallmouth bass with some big bass too.
Secondary Species of Fish
Walleye are found in many of the waters in this county, however, they are not the most abundant species of fish, so plan on catching a lot more pike and bass on most of the waters here. Trout are available in the Prairie River, but it takes some work to get to those fish and it is your best bet for targeting trout here.
