Primary Species of Fish

This part of Wisconsin has a lot of good lakes if you’re looking to catch lots of largemouth bass, northern pike and a variety of panfish.  Many of the lakes up here offer good fishing for largemouth bass.  Some are better for northern pike and you can find plenty of places to fish if you want to target panfish.

Secondary Species of Fish

While this area is dominated by largemouth bass, pike and panfish lakes, muskie and walleye are available in some waters here.  The fishing is actually quite good for smallmouth bass in the Wolf River, but beyond that, it is definitely a largemouth bass dominated part of Wisconsin.  Anglers do fish for trout in the area as well.
