Menominee River

The Menominee River flows into Green Bay and forms the boundary between northeast Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.  For this page, we will be focusing on the part of the river that flows through Florence County, Wisconsin.  In this area, you don’t have nearly as many flowages as you will find down south as the river runs through Marinette County, Wisconsin.  You do have a lot of remote water up here with some areas that are more popular among anglers.

This part of the river is very good for smallmouth bass for numbers and big fish too.  Northern pike, walleye, largemouth bass, muskie and panfish can be found in these waters in this area.  Muskie are found more concentrated in the Kingsford Flowage than in the actual river.  You will find many access points for launching a fishing boat with a trailer or for small boats such as canoes, kayaks and inflatables.
