Kalamazoo River
The Kalamazoo River offers anglers some very good fishing for a variety of different fish. Anglers can find smallmouth bass throughout the river, however, the better fishing is usually found in the middle part from Battle Creek to the Allegan Dam impoundment. Walleye are found in the lower two-thirds of that section and really become numerous below the Allegan Dam.
Northern pike fishing is good in this river too with good numbers and some big fish here too. Try fishing upstream from Battle Creek and you should be able to find some northern pike. Channel and flathead catfish are also found in the river.
