Largemouth Bass


Burnett County is known for its excellent largemouth bass fishing.  Most lakes in the area will have largemouth bass in them with some lakes being very good action lakes and some others are known for producing quality bass in the 3 to 4 pound range.


Big Bear Lake


Big Bear Lake is a 179 acre lake located in Burnett County.  It has a maximum depth of 17 feet.  Fish include panfish, largemouth bass and northern pike.  According to the DNR, all species of fish are considered present in the lake.



Big Doctor Lake


Big Doctor Lake is a 213 acre lake located in Burnett County.  It has a maximum depth of 9 feet.  Fish include panfish, largemouth bass and northern pike.  According to the DNR, largemouth bass and northern pike are considered common in the lake.  Panfish are listed as present.



Big Sand Lake


Big Sand Lake is a 1434 acre lake located in Burnett County.  It has a maximum depth of 55 feet.  Fish include panfish, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, northern pike and walleye.  According to the DNR, largemouth bass and northern pike are abundant in the lake while smallmouth bass, walleye and panfish are considered present.



Big Trade Lake


Big Trade Lake is a 327 acre lake located in Burnett County.  It has a maximum depth of 39 feet.  Fish include muskie, panfish, largemouth bass, northern pike and walleye.  According to the DNR, largemouth bass are abundant in the lake.  Panfish and northern pike are considered common while muskie and walleye are listed as present.



Birch Island Lake


Birch Island Lake is a 768 acre lake located in Burnett County.  It has a maximum depth of 13 feet. Fish include panfish, largemouth bass and northern pike.  Largemouth bass are abundant in this lake while panfish and northern pike are considered common.



Clam Lake


Clam Lake is a 1338 acre lake located in Burnett County.  It has a maximum depth of 11 feet. Fish include panfish, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, northern pike, walleye, sturgeon and catfish.  According to the DNR, northern pike are abundant in the lake.  Panfish and largemouth bass are considered common in the lake while smallmouth bass and walleye are present.

Clam River Flowage is a 359 acre lake located in Burnett County.  It has a maximum depth of 29 feet. Fish include panfish, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, northern pike, walleye, sturgeon and catfish.  According to the DNR, northern pike are abundant in the lake.  Panfish and largemouth bass are common while smallmouth bass, sturgeon and walleye are listed as present.



Cranberry Lake


Cranberry Lake is a 66 acre lake located in Burnett County.  It has a maximum depth of 26 feet.  Fish include panfish, largemouth bass, northern pike and walleye.  According to the DNR, largemouth bass and northern pike are considered common in the lake while panfish and walleye are listed as present.



Crooked Lake


Crooked Lake is a 250 acre lake located in Burnett County.  It has a maximum depth of 13 feet.  Fish include panfish, largemouth bass and northern pike.  According to the DNR, all the species of fish are listed as present.

Des Moines Lake is a 215 acre lake located in Burnett County.  It has a maximum depth of 37 feet.  Fish include muskie, panfish, largemouth bass, northern pike and walleye.  According to the DNR, largemouth bass are considered common in the lake while the other species of fish are listed as present.



Devils Lake


Devils Lake is a 975 acre lake located in Burnett County.  It has a maximum depth of 24 feet.  Fish include panfish, largemouth bass, northern pike and walleye.  According to the DNR, walleye are abundant in the lake.  Largemouth bass and northern pike are considered common while panfish are listed as present.



Falk Lake


Falk Lake is a 76 acre lake located in Burnett County.  It has a maximum depth of 30 feet.  Fish include panfish, largemouth bass, northern pike and walleye.  According to the DNR, largemouth bass are abundant in the lake.  Panfish and northern pike are considered common while walleye are listed as present.

Ham Lake


Ham Lake is a 313 acre lake located in Burnett County.  It has a maximum depth of 29 feet.  Fish include panfish, largemouth bass, northern pike and walleye.  According to the DNR, panfish, largemouth bass and northern pike are considered common in the lake.  Walleye are listed as present.



Hanscom Lake


Hanscom Lake is a 118 acre lake located in Burnett County.  It has a maximum depth of 7 feet.  Fish include panfish, largemouth bass and northern pike.  According to the DNR, largemouth bass are abundant in the lake while panfish and northern pike are listed as present.



Johnson Lake


Johnson Lake is a 399 acre lake located in Burnett County.  It has a maximum depth of 23 feet.  Fish include panfish, largemouth bass and northern pike.  They are all considered common in the lake.



Lily Lake


Lily Lake is a 188 acre lake located in Burnett County.  It has a maximum depth of 22 feet.  Fish include panfish, largemouth bass and northern pike.  According to the DNR, largemouth bass are common in the lake while panfish and northern pike are listed as present.

Lipsett Lake is a 393 acre lake located in Burnett County.  It has a maximum depth of 24 feet.  Fish include muskie, panfish, largemouth bass, northern pike and walleye.  According to the DNR, northern pike are abundant in the lake.  Panfish, largemouth bass and walleye are common here while muskie are listed as present.

Long Lake is a 222 acre lake located in Burnett County.  It has a maximum depth of 41 feet.  Fish include panfish, largemouth bass, northern pike and walleye.  According to the DNR, panfish and largemouth bass are considered common in the lake.  Northern pike and walleye are listed as present.

Love Lake


Love Lake is a 207 acre lake located in Burnett County.  It has a maximum depth of 63 feet.  Fish include panfish, largemouth bass, northern pike and walleye.  According to the DNR, largemouth bass are considered common in the lake.  Panfish, northern pike and walleye are listed as present.



Lower Clam Lake


Lower Clam Lake is a 366 acre lake located in Burnett County.  It has a maximum depth of 14 feet.  Fish include panfish, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, northern pike, walleye, sturgeon and catfish.  According to the DNR, northern pike are abundant in the lake.  Panfish and largemouth bass are considered common while smallmouth bass, walleye, sturgeon and catfish are listed as present in the lake.

Lower McKenzie Lake is a 206 acre lake located in Burnett and Washburn Counties.  It has a maximum depth of 17 feet.  Fish include muskie, panfish, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, northern pike and walleye.  According to the DNR, panfish, largemouth bass and northern pike are considered common in the lake.  Muskie, smallmouth bass and walleye are listed as present.



Mallard Lake


Mallard Lake is a 103 acre lake located in Burnett County.  It has a maximum depth of 35 feet.  Fish include panfish, largemouth bass, northern pike and walleye.  According to the DNR, largemouth bass are considered common in the lake while panfish, pike and walleye are listed as present.



McKenzie Lake


McKenzie Lake is a 1129 acre lake located in Burnett, Washburn Counties.  It has a maximum depth of 71 feet.  Fish include muskie, panfish, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, northern pike, walleye and sturgeon.  According to the DNR, muskie, northern pike and walleye are abundant in the lake.  Panfish and largemouth bass are considered common while smallmouth bass and sturgeon are listed as present.



Middle McKenzie Lake


Middle McKenzie Lake is a 527 acre lake located in Burnett, Washburn Counties.  It has a maximum depth of 45 feet.  Fish include muskie, panfish, largemouth bass, northern pike and walleye.  According to the DNR, muskie, panfish, largemouth bass, northern pike and walleye are all considered common in the lake.



Minerva Lake


Minerva Lake is a 222 acre lake located in Burnett County.  It has a maximum depth of 26 feet.  Fish include panfish, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, northern pike and walleye.  According to the DNR, panfish and largemouth bass are considered common in the lake.  Smallmouth bass, northern pike and walleye are listed as present.



Mud Hen Lake


Mud Hen Lake is a 569 acre lake located in Burnett County.  It has a maximum depth of 66 feet.  Fish include largemouth bass, panfish and northern pike.  According to the DNR, largemouth bass are abundant in the lake.  Panfish and northern pike are considered common.



Nicaboyne Lake


Nicaboyne Lake is a 289 acre lake located in Burnett County.  It has a maximum depth of 34 feet.  Fish include panfish, largemouth bass and northern pike.  According to the DNR, panfish are abundant in the lake while largemouth bass and northern pike are considered common.



Oak Lake


Oak Lake is a 183 acre lake located in Burnett County.  It has a maximum depth of 19 feet.  Fish include panfish, largemouth bass and northern pike.  According to the DNR, largemouth bass are abundant in the lake while panfish and northern pike are listed as present.

Spirit Lake


Spirit Lake is a 592 acre lake located in Burnett County.  It has a maximum depth of 27 feet.  Fish include panfish, largemouth bass and northern pike.  All species are considered common according to the DNR.



Webb Lake


Webb Lake is a 756 acre lake located in Burnett County.  It has a maximum depth of 31 feet.  Fish include panfish, largemouth bass and northern pike.  According to the DNR, panfish are abundant in the lake while largemouth bass and northern pike are considered common.



Wood Lake


Wood Lake is a 521 acre lake located in Burnett County.  It has a maximum depth of 35 feet.  Fish include panfish, largemouth bass and northern pike.  According to the DNR, panfish are abundant in the lake.  Largemouth bass and northern pike are considered common.



Yellow Lake


Yellow Lake is a 2283 acre lake located in Burnett County.  It has a maximum depth of 31 feet.  Fish include muskie, panfish, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, northern pike, walleye, sturgeon and catfish.  According to the DNR, muskie and walleye are abundant in the lake.  Panfish and northern pike are considered common while all other species of fish are listed as present.
