There are a lot of fishing opportunities in this area. Fish from shore with the miles of beaches or from the many fishing piers in the area. Inshore, anglers fish the rivers for redfish, trout, flounder and more. Offshore, you can a lot of options to fish for so many different fish. You will find plenty of fishing charters in this area as well.

Brunswick Islands Inshore Fishing
You have quite a bit of inshore waters to fish here as well. Anglers mostly target redfish, flounder and sea trout in the backwaters, however, other fish can be found here too. The rivers will hold some fish here throughout the year.

Brunswick Islands Nearshore Fishing
In the nearshore waters, anglers target Spanish mackerel, kingfish, cobia, bluefish, sharks and more. You can definitely go out into the Atlantic Ocean to catch some fish without traveling far into the offshore waters, so if this is something that interests you, give the nearshore waters a try on your next trip to this area.
Brunswick Islands Deep Sea / Offshore Fishing
The Brunswick Islands area is home to some very good deep sea fishing. You can find many fishing charters who will take you out to deeper water. Whether you search the reefs and wrecks for bottom fish or troll for the pelagic species of fish that are moving through the area, you have some options on a deep sea fishing trip. Some of the common species of fish that are caught are sailfish, marlin, tuna, mahi mahi, wahoo, grouper and amberjack.

Some of the fish that anglers target here from the piers are sheepshead, flounder, redfish, pompano, kingfish, Spanish mackerel, bluefish, black drum, sea trout, flounder and other fish too depending on the time of the year. You have a few different piers here to fish from so anglers have a lot of options for pier fishing in this area.
Surf Fishing
Some of the more common fish caught from the surf are whiting, bluefish, black drum, bluefish, redfish and flounder. There are miles of beaches to fish and you can find many spots where you won’t have as many people if you want to find some areas with less crowds.
